18th Century Solid Oak Chip-Carved Oak Yorkshire Chairs With Panelled Seat
A truly gorgeous 18th century example of a solid oak Derbyshire/Yorkshire chair with chip carving to the back rails mimicking the mustached face of Charles I when he was executed - see mortuary chair. Finished with acorn shaped finials. The back on this chair is raked, with a Panelled seat, Bobbin turned front legs and stretchers.
The chair has a few minor historic repairs but is in excellent, solid, usable condition with the wear and marks to be expected with a chair of this age.
