A stunning Victorian mahogany pedestal card table, combining elegance and practicality. This piece features a tapering octagonal column support on a concave quadrapartite base, beautifully finished with lion paw feet concealing castors for easy movement. The front is adorned with a carved scrolled fleur-de-lis motif, adding a touch of sophistication.
The top swivels and folds open to reveal a rich mahogany playing surface with a circular green baize insert. Beneath the swivel top is a small, convenient storage area—perfect for keeping cards or game essentials close at hand.
Condition Report
In excellent condition. A few very minor scratch marks on the top are visible only when caught in reflection, consistent with its age and use. The lower base has a split all the way along the substrate, but is historic and absolutely solid - see pictures.
