Shipping & Delivery Methods

Ideally, we’d love you to come and view any item in person and collect directly. However, we appreciate that this is not always possible.

The shipping method we use depends on the item in question, but we generally use one of the following:

  • ParcelForce – for small parcels

  • Courier – for larger pieces of furniture

We work with a number of trusted couriers. Where coverage is not available, we use Shiply to source a courier with a proven record of excellent service.

Guide Courier Costs
  • England & Wales: £65

  • Scotland: £85

  • Northern Ireland: £150 (please contact us prior to purchase to confirm availability)

  • ParcelForce (small items): £15 flat rate

If you have your own courier, please ask them to contact us directly to arrange collection.

Additional Delivery Information
  • Delivery timeframe: typically 5–15 working days (up to 20 for Scotland).

  • Standard delivery is ground-floor, door-step drop-off. If you require extra assistance, please inform us before purchase.

  • Most deliveries are handled by single-person couriers, so assistance may be required upon delivery.

  • Viewing and collection available by appointment in Southampton, Hampshire.

  • We do not currently ship outside mainland UK or to the Scottish Highlands for large items.

Local Delivery (Hampshire)

We can sometimes personally deliver larger items within Hampshire at cost, depending on availability. Please contact us to discuss.

Returns Policy

  • We offer a 14-day return policy for customers who change their mind. The item must be returned in the same condition it was received and, where applicable, in its original packaging.

  • Please note that delivery fees are non-refundable once an item has been shipped, as these costs are incurred at the time of dispatch. Return shipping is at the buyer’s expense.

  • If you wish to return an item, please notify us within 14 days of receipt to arrange the return.

  • Returns are not available for trade purchases or for sales where the price has been specially negotiated.

  • If an item arrives damaged or not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with details and photographs so we can resolve the matter promptly.

Privacy Policy

Your personal information is important to us. We promise this data will never be used for marketing unless you sign up to our mailing list, nor will it ever be sold to a third party.

Antiques Sales Policy

  • Authenticity & Description – All items are described in good faith, with attention to authenticity, age, and provenance where known. Photographs form part of the description.

  • Condition – Condition reports are provided honestly. Antiques naturally show signs of age, which are not grounds for return unless materially misdescribed.

  • Liability – We are not liable for age-related imperfections or restoration typical of antique items, nor for damage or loss once items have been collected or delivered safely.

Courier Services Policy

We specialise in transporting antiques, furniture, and fragile goods.

  • Insurance – We hold public liability and goods in transit insurance, covering items up to their declared value (to be agreed at booking).

  • Reasonable Care – Items are packed and transported securely, but we cannot accept liability for pre-existing wear, loose joints, or age-related fragility.

  • Exclusions – We are not responsible for:

    • Damage caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.

    • Items not declared at booking.

    • Delays due to traffic, weather, or third-party failures.

  • Client Responsibility – Clients must ensure access is available, parking is arranged, and any special handling requirements are disclosed in advance.

House Clearance Policy

We undertake clearance work with care, but clearance-specific insurance is not held at present. By booking, clients accept the following:

  • Insurance – Public liability and goods in transit cover apply to our courier and antiques services only. No clearance-specific insurance is held.

  • Waste Carrier Licence – We are a registered and licensed waste carrier. This ensures that all items for disposal are handled responsibly and in compliance with environmental regulations. Items suitable for reuse, donation, or recycling are prioritised over landfill wherever possible.

  • Reasonable Care – We handle items carefully, but moving bulky furniture through narrow spaces carries risk. Minor damage (scuffs, scrapes, dents, paintwork marks) may occur, and we cannot accept liability for such incidental damage.

  • Exclusions – We are not responsible for:

    • Pre-existing damage.

    • Structural weaknesses or defects in property.

    • Damage caused by restricted access (tight stairs, narrow doorways).

  • Client Responsibility – Clients should protect delicate surfaces (e.g. fresh paint, carpets) and remove fragile items before work begins.

By proceeding with a clearance, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
