A finely carved 19th-century oak sideboard back, featuring a panelled frieze supported by bold barley twist uprights. Though separated from its base long ago, it has more recently served as a headboard — a testament to its versatility and enduring appeal. The applied supports may be removed if desired.
The carving and proportions retain all the grandeur of its original function, making it an exceptional decorative panel or architectural element in its own right.
