A lovely example of a Victorian chiffonier, unusually small in scale and full of thoughtful detail. Solid mahogany throughout, with two top shelves on turned supports with a galleried top above a pair of large drawers and a cupboard enclosed by two panelled doors - all with working lock and key. Inside, you’ll find a surprisingly spacious cupboard enclosing an additional two banks of three small graduated drawers. Standing on turned tulip feet and reeded mouldings finish the piece nicely.
Condition Report
In excellent antique condition. The rear gallery has a slight warp visible from the side and a couple of old bow-tie repairs at the back—neither noticeable from the front, and both adding to the character.
