This classic Victorian Essex bar back kitchen chair is full of character and charm. Circa 1830, it features classic Victorian turned front legs, sabre back legs, and a solid shaped seat. The shaped back cross rail and apron give it a distinctive, timeless silhouette, while its finish has developed a beautiful, time-worn orange hue that adds warmth and depth to any setting.
Condition Report
In excellent antique condition with minor marks that are perfectly in keeping with its age, this chair is sturdy and ready for daily use while retaining all the charm of its history. A little evidence of historic woodworm, with a little loss to one of the back legs, but the worm is long gone and the chair is absolutely solid. A lovely addition to a rustic or period-inspired kitchen or dining area.
