A handsome Victorian solid oak two-part dresser. The lower section is especially weighty, with two panelled doors revealing two fitted shelves. Each door features applied classical columns and arches, complete with brass knobs and distinctive extruding oval hinges. The upper plate rack is a later addition but is well matched, with three shelves, a scalloped frieze and arched mouldings that echo the base.
The whole piece has a slight ecclesiastical feel - possibly once used in such a setting, given the number outlines above each door suggesting a more institutional past.
Condition Report
