An early 20th-century brass Pullman-type lamp of excellent weight and quality, retaining its hanging eye and functioning comfortably as either a table lamp or wall light. This lamp is both practical and characterful.
The detailing is particularly strong: a beaded edge to the base, foliate (possibly feather-inspired) ornament rising through the fluted column, and a brass thumb screw allowing the lamp head to tilt up to 90 degrees in either direction. Terminated with a brass bayonet bulb holder.
An engaging, well-made piece with real presence.
Condition Report
Excellent antique brass condition. Unpolished, with natural patination retained. Recently rewired and PAT tested. The tilt mechanism is slightly firm due to the new cord and should ease with use.
