Early 20th-Century Heal’s Black And Gold Chinoiserie Table Lamp

An early 20th-century black and gold lacquered Chinoiserie table lamp, attributed to Heal’s. Formed as a classical candlestick or column, the lamp is decorated with hand-painted gilt Chinoiserie motifs over a black ground.

A refined and restrained example, combining decorative interest with a strong architectural form. Works particularly well as a table or console lamp where the surface decoration can be appreciated up close.

Condition Report

Displays patina and surface wear consistent with age, including some fading and minor marks to the lacquered finish. All wear is honest and in keeping with period. PAT tested and rewired - ready to go.
