Antiques Sales Policy

  • Authenticity & Description – All items are described in good faith, with attention to authenticity, age, and provenance where known. Photographs form part of the description.

  • Condition – Condition reports are provided honestly. Antiques naturally show signs of age, which are not grounds for return unless materially misdescribed.

  • Liability – We are not liable for age-related imperfections or restoration typical of antique items, nor for damage or loss once items have been collected or delivered safely.

Courier Services Policy

We specialise in transporting antiques, furniture, and fragile goods.

  • Insurance – We hold public liability and goods in transit insurance, covering items up to their declared value (to be agreed at booking).

  • Reasonable Care – Items are packed and transported securely, but we cannot accept liability for pre-existing wear, loose joints, or age-related fragility.

  • Exclusions – We are not responsible for:

    • Damage caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.

    • Items not declared at booking.

    • Delays due to traffic, weather, or third-party failures.

  • Client Responsibility – Clients must ensure access is available, parking is arranged, and any special handling requirements are disclosed in advance.

House Clearance Policy

We undertake clearance work with care, but clearance-specific insurance is not held at present. By booking, clients accept the following:

  • Insurance – Public liability and goods in transit cover apply to our courier and antiques services only. No clearance-specific insurance is held.

  • Waste Carrier Licence – We are a registered and licensed waste carrier. This ensures that all items for disposal are handled responsibly and in compliance with environmental regulations. Items suitable for reuse, donation, or recycling are prioritised over landfill wherever possible.

  • Reasonable Care – We handle items carefully, but moving bulky furniture through narrow spaces carries risk. Minor damage (scuffs, scrapes, dents, paintwork marks) may occur, and we cannot accept liability for such incidental damage.

  • Exclusions – We are not responsible for:

    • Pre-existing damage.

    • Structural weaknesses or defects in property.

    • Damage caused by restricted access (tight stairs, narrow doorways).

  • Client Responsibility – Clients should protect delicate surfaces (e.g. fresh paint, carpets) and remove fragile items before work begins.

By proceeding with a clearance, you acknowledge and accept these terms
