Pair Of Early C20th Landscape Watercolours – Possibly Henry Martin Pope (1906)

£100.00Price

A matched pair of early 20th-century landscape watercolours, possibly by Henry Martin Pope (1843–1908), signed “H.” and dated 1906. One depicts a rocky mountainous scene, the other a rural landscape with distant hills, both using a muted, harmonious palette.

Double mounted and framed in matching giltwood frames. Pope was a founder member of the Birmingham Art Circle and lived near Birmingham, adding regional interest.

Condition Report

Very good condition overall. One painting has a historic fold to the paper, likely pre-dating framing and barely noticeable, noted for completeness.
