I love this, a 19th century oak hanging cupboard, with a beautiful figured oak veneer, gorgeous bronze fretwork pulls on the doors. With three internal shelves and a later added cornice.
The inside of the cupboard has been painted. On the inside each of the doors is a flyer, one side is a Post Office notice from 1886, showing the cost of 'Inland postage'. The other side shows the cost of Cognac Brandy in 1867. Both suggesting that this may have once been situated in a shop or Post office.
Condition Report
In excellent solid condition with all wear commensurate with its age. There is a strip of oak vaneer that has been replaced on the left side at the back - it hasn't been done so well - but this doesn't stand out.
