A finely constructed Edwardian satinwood chest of drawers, arranged in a two-over-three configuration and standing on bracket feet. The chest is fitted with its original pressed steel drawer pulls of cartouche form, each enclosing a classical urn motif - a restrained but effective decorative detail that lifts the overall design.
All drawers are lockable, and the piece has a light, elegant presence typical of quality Edwardian cabinet work. Well proportioned and practical, it sits comfortably in both period and more relaxed interiors.
Condition Report
In excellent, fully usable antique condition. Minimal wear to the drawer runners. The lower two dust boards between drawers are missing — a point of note only, with no impact on use. The lower drawer is missing its brass escutcheon. The stile between the two upper drawers shows historic compass holes, and the front bracket moulding is absent — likely a later loss. These details are reflected in the presentation and do not detract from the chest’s structural integrity or overall appearance.
