A contemporary landscape with strong painterly quality. Crail Ravine by D. Lamond (signed and dated June 2008 verso) is a well-observed study of light and texture - showing filtered sunlight falling through trees onto the quiet waters of a shaded Scottish ravine. Painted with a confident, impressionistic hand and housed in a deep gilt frame with linen slip.
Not an antique, but a thoughtful and quietly compelling painting, full of mood and movement.
Condition Report
Canvas is taut and in excellent condition. The frame shows light wear to the gilt but remains very presentable and structurally sound.
