Beautiful Georgian tea caddy finished with brass handle on the lid and an ornate brass escutcheon. I'm not 100% on the wood, but it could be walnut. Excellent figure and patination. 
Condition Report
In excellent overall condition with all wear commensurate with its age. The lock is missing, as is one of the internal dividers. Minor chips to the edging as can be seen in the photos. There is also a split to to the back of the lid that has been filled at some point.
