William Iv / Early Victorian Figured Walnut Adjustable Piano Stool
An absolutely stunning figured walnut adjustable piano stool, dating from the William IV or early Victorian period. The elegant design features a polygonal, inverted tapered column, a triform base adorned with foliate scrolls, and acanthus-carved feet. An exceptional piece that blends craftsmanship with refined beauty.
The underside of the stool bears the maker’s mark "W. H." along with what appears to be pattern numbers. A stool of this quality could easily be attributed to Gillows.
