Not antique, but certainly atmospheric —-this oil on canvas by D. Lamond captures a derelict rural cottage as it gives way to nature. With its collapsed roof exposing skeletal rafters, and overgrown shrubs surrounding the stone walls, the scene is both quiet and dramatic. A stark tree silhouette rises against a bright blue sky, adding contrast and mood.
Presented in a giltwood frame and ready to hang.
Condition Report
Canvas is taut and in excellent condition with no visible damage or restoration. The frame is in very good overall condition, with only light surface wear to the gilt in keeping with age.
