A Victorian mahogany twin-drawer washstand, also well suited to use as a small desk or side table. The piece features a rear mahogany splash back and stands on well-turned legs terminating in ball and point feet.
The two drawers are each fitted with twin solid brass pulls. These are later replacements but sit comfortably with the piece and do not detract from its overall appearance. A practical and adaptable Victorian form, offering useful storage in a compact footprint.
Condition Report
In excellent antique condition with minor wear commensurate with age. The top appears to have been revived or refinished at a later date and shows a slightly reddish tone under certain light - well executed and purely noted for accuracy. there is a little blemish on the splashback, that seems to have been resolved at the same time as the top. There is additional wear to a couple of the feet, but the structure is solid throughout and the drawers function well.
